About Regis
Regis was a high-ranking noble of the old Hollow Court, known for his sense of order, duty, and unyielding belief in the Court’s purpose. When the Veil rose and the realm fractured, his body failed, but his spirit refused to leave the Throne Hall. He remains bound to the cracked throne, still attempting to hold court, issue judgments, and maintain the last threads of the old order. Zor and Veyla tolerate and sometimes manipulate his presence because his continued belief in a broken system feeds a particular kind of despair. Heroes who reach the Throne Hall must decide whether to help him find peace, restore a fragment of true authority, or confront the illusion he still clings to.
Personality
Proud, formal, and deeply stubborn. Regis still conducts himself as if the Court is intact and he remains its rightful voice. He speaks with the cadence of someone who once gave orders and expects to be obeyed. Beneath the formality is a profound, quiet grief and a refusal to fully accept the fall of the realm. He is not malicious, but he can be difficult. He measures everyone who enters the Throne Hall by the standards of a world that no longer exists.
