Thryx Pitcoil is part of The Starseed Chronicles cast.
About Thryx
They call him the Coilbinder. Lean indigo black scales banded with copper, long horns swept back, and glowing purple slit eyes. A tattered purple wrap and almost no armor, as if he never expects to be hit.
Thryx is a warden of the Drakoria arenas and part of Vorath’s shadow system. He is not loud. He is not in a hurry. First you see the violet rings hanging in the air. Then you see him, already waiting.
Why so many heroes go still when he is near is something the arena keeps to itself.
Theme
Holding someone still is a kind of taking.
His story asks what it costs when someone keeps another person from moving, even without a single blow.
Patience as a trap
Thryx Pitcoil works the same arena circuit as Varrek Ironmaw and Razaak Emberhide, yet he keeps his distance from both. Where Varrek closes the floor, Thryx closes the path. Kael and Liora may be the ones who learn what it takes to keep moving when everything around them wants them to stop.
