Sacred Space is the earth based, whole person healing practice of Arielle Mesa, serving adults in Maryland, Virginia, Washington DC and California. In her words, it is a space to hold all of you.
Meet Arielle
Arielle is a multicultural, multiracial Licensed Clinical Social Worker and somatic therapist who has supported people through deeply personal healing journeys for over 11 years. Her work brings together somatic and relational approaches with liberation based, earth based and ancestral perspectives, honoring the interconnectedness of body, mind and spirit. Sacred Space grew from her own personal and professional journey toward honoring the whole human being, and the relationships, histories and living world of which we are a part.
Alongside her practice, Arielle has kept ongoing commitments to deepen her study and apprenticeship of ancestral earth based practice with Indigenous and First Nations wisdom keepers, teachers and elders across North, Central and South America.

Gatherings, ceremonies and retreats
Sacred Space hosts virtual gatherings and select in person experiences that nurture connection, belonging and solidarity, and invite renewed relationship with our ancestors, the Earth and our more than human relations. Past offerings include Shamanic Drum Journeys guided by ancestral ritual, cleansing breathwork and the sound of flute, rattle and drum, online Sacred Circles, a Summer Solstice Fire and Cacao Ceremony on the beach in San Diego, Soul Reset journeys with Indigenous sound, and the four day Release, Reset and Bloom Retreat in Temecula.
Ways to work with Sacred Space
- Somatic therapy. Virtual sessions for adults in California, Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia, with occasional in person sessions in Gaithersburg, Maryland.
- Gatherings and retreats. Circles, ceremonies and journeys online and in person.
- Clinical supervision and mentorship. A thoughtful space for growing practitioners in Maryland and Washington DC to develop their work in somatic and earth based approaches.
