Singing Bowls of the Rockies is a sound bath studio in downtown Colorado Springs, Colorado, where live crystal and Tibetan singing bowls, gongs, chimes, flutes and drums are played in flowing layers of sound for deep relaxation. The studio hosts community sound baths most weeks, along with private and corporate experiences, all led by Dr. Gigi Turner, PsyD.

Dr. Gigi Turner, PsyD, is a former psychology professor and psychotherapist who became a certified sound bath practitioner through Singing Bowls Immersion in 2015 and then founded Singing Bowls of the Rockies. She blends her background in psychology with the timeless practice of sound baths, and she has welcomed more than 5,000 participants into the studio’s soundscapes.

Her sessions draw on more than 100 crystal and Tibetan singing bowls, along with chimes, tingshas, flutes, shakers, drums, xylophone, acoustic guitar, handpans, tuning forks, a crystal quartzophone and the sounds of nature. She is supported by a small core team, including coordinator Lily Martins and musician Steve Manzo.

“Our passion is to spread the news that beautiful resonant waves of sound can awaken access to a wonderful wellness experience of deeply restorative relaxation.”

What a sound bath feels like

Guests settle onto a cushioned floor setup, often with a blanket, pillow or eye mask. There is nothing you need to do. Most people close their eyes and rest while the live instruments play, and some stay quietly awake and meditative while others drift into a dreamlike state.
