Selenite, sometimes called satin spar, is a variety of gypsum that grows in long, fibrous crystals. Each lamp is one piece, 7 to 9 inches on average, from Morocco, and it comes with a bulb and cord. Natural inclusions and internal cleaving are cosmetic and part of each piece's character.
Selenite is traditionally associated with cleansing and calm. Many people keep a Selenite lamp in a bedroom or meditation space for a pearly evening glow.
