Seeing past the perfect surface
Mirren was once a brilliant illusionist who became trapped in his own web of lies after the Veil. He now runs The Mirror Merchant stall as a test for heroes. He genuinely wants to help, yet his nature makes everything look perfect while hiding flaws, and only those with true insight see real value. Mirren's stall is a lovely metaphor for social media and shiny advertising. A perfect surface often hides the real story. Practicing insight means looking a little deeper before deciding what something is worth.
