Pike

Characters
Pike is one of the twin scouts who guard the Shadowy Forest Gate in the Bright Resistance Groves.
He is the more outward and reactive of the two brothers: he talks more, moves first, and uses humor to keep morale up.
Born in the Woodland Community Tree Village, Pike grew up training alongside his brother Creed, Fletch, and Aria, and now serves under Remy Lightheart at the Shadowy Forest Gate. He is the front line scout and often the first to greet travelers, crack a light remark, or step forward when something feels off. Deep down he carries a quiet crush on Remy that he has never spoken aloud, and he has no idea his brother feels the same.
He is an athletic young elf in his mid twenties, with short tousled dark brown hair, sharp green eyes, a confident slight smirk, and light stubble. He wears practical forest scout armor of leather and soft green grey cloth with leaf motifs, an olive green cloak, and light gear. He looks ready to move at any moment.
Pike is quick to speak and uses teasing and light mockery, but never cruelty. He is protective of Creed and shows it through action more than words. He is secretly competitive for Remy’s attention while still trying to make Creed look good, and when the two brothers are alone they fall into classic brother teasing. When the real threats arrive, he takes the gate seriously.

For the Grace of God, there go I.Infused Lights
Brotherhood, light under pressure, and the quiet truth that teasing others is often a mirror. Sometimes we tease others only because we already know, deep in our awakening, that it could just as easily be us.
Try this today: Notice when you are laughing at someone else’s stumble, and remember it could just as easily be you.
Pike’s instincts and speed make him excellent at spotting movement in the Shadow Forest and giving early warning. He can teach light movement and quick reaction techniques. When a reptilian scout appears, the joking stops and he becomes sharp and professional.
His weakness is that he can talk or move a half second too soon. His wish to look capable in front of Remy sometimes makes him push harder than needed, and his teasing comes from a deeper place than he admits: laughing at someone else’s stumble is his way of remembering how easily it could be him.

Characters whose pages connect with Pike: Creed, his twin brother, with deep loyalty under the constant teasing. Remy Lightheart, the gatekeeper he serves under, secretly cares for, and respects completely. Fletch the Arrow Maker and Aria the Archer, old friends and training partners from the Woodland Community. His post is in the Bright Resistance Groves.
