Nine Healing Arts is the Christchurch, New Zealand home of Jenine Kerr, a sound healer, gong practitioner, Thai massage therapist and yoga teacher. From gong baths and floating sound journeys to The Gong Dreamers, Jenine creates spaces of stillness, calm and renewal in Ōtautahi.
Meet Jenine
“Nine Healing Arts is more than a business; it’s a manifestation of my soul’s calling,” Jenine shares. With a heart that beats in resonance with the cosmic vibrations of gongs, she has found her purpose in curating transformative experiences. Her path has woven together sound, Thai yoga massage, yoga and breath work, each adding a unique thread to her own journey.
Jenine’s journey with the gong began in India, where she first felt the transformative power of sound. Her practice has been shaped by the teachings of Don Conreaux, one of the original visionaries of the gong, and her story stretches from a nomadic yoga studio in Berlin to her practice in Christchurch. She is also a mother, and says her son has become one of her greatest teachers.
What Nine Healing Arts offers
- Sound healing sessions. Private sessions with Tibetan singing bowls, gongs and other sacred instruments, for individuals or couples, personally led by Jenine.
- Gong baths. Immersive journeys where deep, resonant gong tones wash over you and invite stillness.
- Floating sound journeys. Magical sessions held upon the water, a gift that was even shared live on TVNZ Breakfast.
- Thai massage and deep tissue massage. Bodywork that blends gentle stretching, rhythm and intuitive touch for deep relaxation.
- Yoga. Earth Flow Yoga group classes and One Yoga private practice.
- Events, retreats and gong training. Suspended gong experiences in hammocks, sound cocoons and retreats for renewal.
The Gong Dreamers
Jenine is one of three sound guardians in The Gong Dreamers, alongside Bruce and Bina Iris. Guided by the resonance of ten sacred gongs, they craft immersive soundscapes for private sessions, retreats, festivals and workplaces, and love to co create with breathwork facilitators, yoga teachers and ceremonialists.
