Space before concluding
Quick conclusions feel efficient, but they often miss part of the picture. When you notice yourself rushing to decide what something means or what to do, pause the conclusion for a moment.
Gather perspective. Ask one more question, look for one more source, or talk it through with someone who sees things differently. A little extra information can change an answer completely.
Then choose what is useful. Some answers deserve a firm commitment, while others can remain open for a while. Giving answers a little room usually leads to choices you feel better about later.
Try the twenty four hour rule
A friend shares news that triggers a strong reaction. You immediately decide what it means and how you feel about it, and you share your opinion before thinking it through.
For one week, apply a twenty four hour rule to important conclusions. When you notice a strong opinion forming, write it down and wait a day before acting on it or sharing it.
Notice how often your view changes or softens after a day. Giving answers a little room often leads to wiser responses.
Some readers like a guided companion after a teaching like this one. The Season of Magick collection on Gaia is there if it feels right, with no pressure at all.

A simple rhythm to try
Here is the whole rhythm in three steps. First, pause the conclusion. Then gather perspective. Finally, choose what is useful.
