Aura photos are colorful portraits where soft clouds of color surround the person in the picture. You may see them at wellness fairs, metaphysical shops and crystal stores, and they are a fun way to start a conversation about your energy.
How a session usually works
Most aura cameras ask you to rest your hands on sensor plates while your photo is taken. The system reads simple signals from your hands and turns them into colors around your image. The colors are a creative interpretation rather than a scientific measurement, so it is best to enjoy the photo as a mirror for reflection.
Reading the colors
Each color is usually read through the same color meanings used in energy work, such as green for the heart and growth or violet for intuition and connection. For a full guide, read the meaning of each color.
Getting the most from your photo
- Arrive relaxed and take a few slow breaths before the photo.
- Ask the reader what each area of the image means in their system.
- Write down how you felt that day so you can compare future photos.
- Notice which colors you are drawn to and use them as a gentle intention.
