Tarot can look complex at first, yet a first reading can be simple and calm. Think of the cards as a mirror for reflection, a way to slow down and listen to yourself.
How a tarot deck is built
A traditional deck has 78 cards. The 22 Major Arcana cards speak to big themes and turning points. The 56 Minor Arcana cards are split into four suits, often Cups, Wands, Swords and Pentacles, and speak to everyday life: feelings, energy, thoughts and practical matters.
Asking a good question
Open questions work best. Instead of "will this happen?", try "what do I need to understand about this?" or "how can I meet this week with more ease?" This keeps your power in your own hands.
A one card daily pull
- Hold the deck and take three slow breaths.
- Ask your question, shuffle, and draw one card.
- Notice the image first: colors, figures, mood.
- Then read the guidebook meaning and write one line about how it fits your day.
Holding a clear quartz or resting your deck on a selenite plate can make the moment feel more intentional.
Tarot or oracle?

Tarot is a tool for reflection, not a fixed prediction. You always keep your own choice.

Questions people ask
How many cards are in a tarot deck?
A traditional tarot deck has 78 cards: 22 Major Arcana and 56 Minor Arcana in four suits.
Do I need to memorize the meanings?
No. Start with one card a day, notice the image, then read the guidebook. Meanings become familiar with time.
Is tarot or oracle better for beginners?
Both work. Oracle decks are often easier to start with because each card carries its own message.
