Hands on Heart: hand to heart, feel before speaking, enter with steady strength
An original Infused Lights teaching diagram.

Imagine placing your hand on your chest after a long, loud day. The news, the notifications, the conversations, the endless to do list in your head. Under all of it, your heart has been trying to tell you something: I am tired, I miss someone, I need a change, I am more hopeful than you think. When life gets noisy, the heart does not stop speaking. It just gets harder to hear.

Signs your heart is overloaded

Heart overload can feel like numbness, irritability, or a vague sadness with no clear cause. You may find it hard to know what you want. Small things may bring you to tears, or nothing moves you at all. These are signs that there is too much input and not enough space to feel.

Turn down the outer noise

Outer noise includes screens, news, background TV, crowded schedules, and constant conversations. You do not have to eliminate it all. Choose one source to lower today: mute a group chat, skip the evening news, drive without the radio, or leave one hour unscheduled. Each small reduction gives your heart a little more room.

Light language flows when the mind quiets and the heart opens.

Turn down the inner noise

Inner noise is the running commentary: planning, worrying, judging, replaying. Writing can help. Spend five minutes putting every thought on paper without editing. Once the thoughts are outside your head, it becomes easier to notice the quieter feelings underneath.

The hand on heart pause

A simple practice: place one hand on your chest. Take three slow breaths. Ask, "What do you need me to know?" Then wait. The answer may be a word, an image, a feeling, or nothing at all. All of those are fine. The practice is in the listening, not the result.

A quieter hour

If you can, create one quieter hour this week. No screens, no tasks, no productivity. Sit outside, take a bath, take a slow walk, or simply rest. Quiet hours help the heart remember that it is safe to speak.

Try this

  1. Choose one source of outer noise to lower today.
  2. Spend five minutes writing every thought down without editing.
  3. Place a hand on your heart and take three slow breaths.
  4. Ask, "What do you need me to know?" and wait.
  5. Schedule one quieter hour this week.

A quieter life lets the heart be heard.
