Seasonal Soul Check In: ask what season you are in, name needed support, adjust one habit
An original Infused Lights teaching diagram.

Imagine standing on a porch at dusk. The day is over, but night has not fully arrived. The light is soft and uncertain. That is what life can feel like between seasons: a job has ended but the next has not begun, a relationship has changed shape, the kids have grown, a move is coming, or you simply feel that the old way of living no longer fits. The in between is real, and it deserves its own kind of care.

What an in between season feels like

Transitions often bring a mix of relief and restlessness. You may feel free and lost in the same afternoon. Routines that used to work feel oddly hollow. People may ask what is next, and you may not have an answer yet. None of this means you are failing. It means you are in a threshold, and thresholds are not meant to feel settled.

Name your season

It helps to give the season a simple name. "I am in a season of recovery." "I am in a season of searching." "I am in a season of letting go." A name does not solve anything, but it gives your experience a shape. It also helps you stop comparing yourself to people who are in a completely different season.

Lower the pressure

Between seasons, energy is often lower and clarity comes slowly. This is not the time to demand a perfect five year plan. Ask a smaller question: what does this week need? Maybe it needs rest, a few honest conversations, or simply getting through the basics with kindness.

Keep a few small anchors

When the big picture is uncertain, small steady rituals help. A morning walk, a weekly call with a friend, a regular bedtime, a page in a journal. Anchors do not have to be meaningful in a grand way. Their job is to remind your body that some things are still reliable.

If you like to give a ritual a physical home, selenite pieces make a simple, bright centerpiece for an altar, a windowsill or a nightstand.

Let the next season arrive

New seasons rarely begin with an announcement. They show up in small signs: a new interest, a door that opens, energy that returns. Stay curious and keep taking honest next steps. You do not have to force the next chapter. You only have to stay present enough to notice when it starts.

Try this

Open notebook icon for a journaling step
  1. Finish this sentence: "I am in a season of..."
  2. Ask, "What does this week need, not this year?"
  3. Choose one small anchor to keep daily for seven days.
  4. Tell one trusted person what season you are in.
  5. Write down one small sign of something new, however tiny.

The space between seasons is still part of your life.
