Ravelle Nightwell
Characters
Ravelle Nightwell
Ravelle Nightwell is the Court Shadow of Duskwane Parish and the partner of Rellian Ashveil.
She is desperately loyal, and that is the danger.
About Ravelle
Ravelle is a dark elf of the vampire elf court. She has pale porcelain skin, amber gold eyes, dark lips, and hip length layered black hair with braided bangs, with gold chain jewelry on her long elf ears. She wears a black velvet choker, layered gold and obsidian necklaces, and a black lace and velvet corset gown embroidered with gold, with off shoulder lace sleeves. She carries a black lace fan, and a cracked white mask hangs at her hip on a gold chain. Black roses gather at her feet, and nothing about her court jewelry is accidental.
She was raised inside the dusk court of Duskwane Parish, where manners are a weapon and a promise is a leash. She fell for Rellian the way a candle falls for a draft: all at once, and without asking whether the house should burn.
Theme
Love that does not ask who pays.Infused Lights
Ravelle and Rellian’s fun always costs somebody else a piece of who they were.
Try this today: Before you say yes to a beautiful offer today, ask what it might cost, and who would pay.
A villain pair
Ravelle and Rellian do not conquer kingdoms. They collect moments: a name whispered wrong, a memory bound into a marigold, a dare that leaves someone smiling at a door that no longer opens. If Rellian points, she goes. If someone threatens him, the parish goes quiet.
Her gift is the Gilded Dare. She offers a beautiful choice that is not really a choice. Accept, and a small memory or name is bound into a token such as a marigold, a mask shard, or a rose. Refuse, and the parish treats you as if you already accepted. She will not abandon Rellian, and if they are separated her focus breaks. Sunlight and honest names weaken the bind, and she underestimates people who will not play.
Ravelle and the wider cast
Ravelle is an optional late encounter in Duskwane Parish, together with Rellian Ashveil. She comes from the same court that produced Vex, Cassian, and Jager. Vex left to race. Cassian stayed to sell. Jager left to wait. Ravelle stayed to play. The pair are customers of the Obsidian Ledger whom Cassian cannot afford to refuse.
