Personality
Charming, smooth-talking, and highly professional. He’s polite on the surface but everything is calculated for profit. He enjoys making people feel special while guiding them toward bigger purchases. He has very little loyalty and will sell to anyone if the price is right.
Reading the hidden cost
Cassian Vale is charming, well connected, and runs The Obsidian Ledger, selling rare and powerful items to anyone who can pay. He is very good at making people feel they got an incredible deal, until the hidden costs appear later. Cassian is a perfect character for teaching discernment. Polished presentation is not the same as honesty. Before agreeing to anything that seems too good, ask what the full cost is, in money, time, or peace of mind. Kids and adults alike can practice pausing, asking questions, and reading the fine print of life.
