Steadiness through transitions
Changes, a move, a new job, a relationship ending, a child leaving home, can unsettle even welcome plans. Start by naming the transition clearly so it feels less like a vague upheaval.
Keep one anchor. A morning walk, a weekly call with a friend, a familiar meal, or a regular bedtime can provide stability while everything else shifts.
Adapt with care. Give yourself time to learn new routines and to feel what you feel about what has ended. Steadiness does not mean nothing changes. It means you are not swept away by it.
Choose your anchor
A move, a new job, or a family change has turned your routine upside down. Everything feels unfamiliar, and you struggle to find your footing.
Choose one anchor to keep steady through the transition: a morning walk, a weekly call with a friend, a favorite meal on Sundays. Commit to it, even when everything else is shifting.
Notice how the anchor helps you feel more grounded. Steadiness during change often comes from small, consistent rituals.

A simple rhythm to try
Here is the whole rhythm in three steps. First, name the transition. Then keep one anchor. Finally, adapt with care.
