Houston Reiki is the home of David W Lewis, a Reiki Master Teacher who has spent more than a decade sharing the traditional Usui System of Natural Healing in Houston, Texas. Through calm, personal Reiki sessions and small, hands on classes, he helps people relax, recharge and reconnect with themselves, and he guides students who feel called to carry Reiki forward.
Meet David
Helping others became the focus of David’s life more than three decades ago. In college he studied wellness and the effects of stress, then brought wellness education into rehabilitation centers and the Texas prison system. Along the way he saw how closely the physical, emotional and spiritual parts of us are woven together, and becoming a Reiki Master Teacher turned that understanding into his life’s work.
He describes his role simply: to be a channel for universal love and a vessel for the gentle energy of Reiki, so each person can feel loved, supported and at peace on their path.
Reiki sessions
A session with David is a quiet, restful experience. Using the traditional hand positions of Usui Reiki, he works with the flow of energy to invite deep relaxation, balance and a renewed sense of spirit. Many clients describe warmth, gentle tingling or a deep calm that stays with them afterward. Each session is shaped to the person on the table and offered in a peaceful, professional space.
David often weaves other practices into his sessions. Tuning forks bring soothing vibration, chakra balancing invites harmony across the body’s energy centers, and shamanic healing draws on ancient traditions to restore balance. His spiritual coaching sessions offer compassionate conversation, guided meditation, visualization and, for those who wish, past life regression. Houston Reiki sees Reiki as a complementary practice that works alongside your medical care, never in place of it.
Learning Reiki in the Usui tradition
For people who want to learn, David teaches all three traditional levels of Usui Reiki in small classes with plenty of personal attention. Level One opens the door to Reiki for yourself and loved ones, with your first attunement and every hand position. Level Two introduces the sacred Reiki symbols and distance Reiki. The Master level is taught one on one and deepens your connection to the practice and to your own inner growth.
His care for students continues after certification. Every new Reiki Master receives From Master to Mastery, his own workbook for growing in confidence and skill, and he offers ongoing mentoring for Masters who want to keep deepening their practice.
