Lyric

Characters
Lyric is the Arena Master of Forgotten Songs in the Hollow Court.
He treats every battle as a performance and every performance as a truth.
Lyric is a high elf of the Court bloodline, partly faded by the Veil. He is tall and elegant, with long dark hair streaked with soft teal and gold, worn in a high samurai style topknot, sharp refined features, and intense glowing teal eyes with delicate musical note markings beneath them. His deep teal and faded gold performance robes carry musical embroidery, glowing runes, and intentional tears that reflect the elegant decay of the Court. He carries a hybrid violin staff that channels song energy as both instrument and weapon.
He is theatrical, precise, and quietly intense. He is not cold, but he is exacting, and he respects those who understand rhythm, emotion, and memory. He carries a deep melancholy for the songs that have been lost, yet he still believes they can be restored. He does not waste words.

Forgotten does not mean gone.Infused Lights
In Lyric’s Arena, true strength comes from memory and emotional truth, not just power.
Try this today: Remember one song, memory, or moment that once healed you, and give it some time today.
Lyric was the last true Master of the Arena of Forgotten Songs before the Veil fully fractured the Hollow Court. He once conducted grand performances that could heal memory and awaken light. When the Court began to break, Zor tried to claim the Arena as a source of despair and corrupted emotion, and Lyric refused to fully surrender it.
Now the Arena exists in a tense stalemate. Zor wants it to feed on forgotten pain and despair; Lyric wants it to remember and heal. Zor corrupts certain songs, sends agents, or forces darker performances, while Lyric keeps the formal rules and trials. The Arena responds most strongly to whoever holds emotional dominance in the space, so it becomes a living, shifting battlefield the heroes can influence.

In his Arena, battles are fought in rhythm, and timing and emotional resonance matter as much as raw strength. With his violin staff he weaves harmonics that heal, dissonance that disrupts, and memory echoes that reveal weaknesses. During a formal trial he can bend the rules of the battlefield, and he can briefly restore a lost song whose power depends on the emotions of those present. He lets the heroes face his trials to test whether they understand this. If they prove they can restore rather than simply conquer, he becomes one of the strongest allies in the Court.
