Trophus the Trophy Redeemer keeps the Trophy Exchange on the Arena half of the Central Nexus Hub.
He owns the after: he makes the trophy, and he hears what the water forced into the metal.
About Trophus
Trophus is a Hub born human in his thirties, with dark tousled hair, a full warm brown beard, bright brown eyes, a big honest grin, and light freckles. He wears a red hooded cape, a navy tunic with gold scroll embroidery and a gold buckled belt, brown leather bracers, and brown wrap boots. Around his neck is a thick collar of stamped gold coins mixed with faceted gems in blue, teal, pink, and pale aqua, with one darker bronze coin in the mix. He usually holds a gold star topped trophy, with an open hand when he is offering the win. He carries no blade and does not fight.
He is a proud, celebratory victory uncle who loves honoring every win, and he can still cheer like a reward announcer. But on harder nights he hears the Bowl, his grin gets smaller, and he may not speak at all. He also fears a night when the metal will not take gold.

The Trophy Exchange
Trophus redeems trophies for courage and growth, trains courage, and offers trophy hunt quests. His shop sits below the pools on the Arena half of the Hub. After the bell he listens to the Bowl through the metal, and that is his real job. If the well held, the trophy takes gold and the walk downhill can start. If it almost spilled, he does not cheer. He can change a room by looking at a fighter once and saying nothing.
His weakness is that he can over celebrate, and he fears loss. Empathy is what keeps him honest: if he cheers a stain, the well did not finish, and the city learns the wrong lesson.
Trophus and the wider cast
Arena the Arena Master opens, and Trophus closes. Liora is the empathy that keeps him from shine alone. Hallor is the before bell paper, and Trophus is the after bell metal. Energa is the clean walk downhill afterward, and Innara serves the soup after his door. He does not know the Alliance yet; the first trophy he makes for Torin will tell the Hub what the water kept.
