An evening ritual is a small set of steps that tells your mind and body the day is complete. It does not need to be long. Ten or fifteen minutes is plenty.

1. Dim the lights

Switch off bright overhead lights and light a candle or a crystal lamp. Softer light is a gentle cue to slow down.

2. Clear one small space

Tidy one surface, such as your nightstand or desk. A clear space helps the day feel finished.

3. Put screens away

Set your phone to charge outside arm's reach and let the last messages wait until morning.

4. Reflect

Write three short lines: one thing that went well, one thing you are grateful for and one intention for tomorrow. Holding a calm stone like amethyst can make this a tactile moment.

5. Rest

Blow out the candle, take three slow breaths and let the day go.

Rituals are for calm and reflection. They are not a replacement for professional care.
