Archangel Metatron: The Cube, the Record Keeper and Angelic Light

Metatron is one of the most mysterious figures in angel lore. He does not appear in the Bible by that name, but Jewish mystical traditions describe him as the great angel who stands closest to the throne of God, the heavenly scribe who records the deeds of all. Several traditions identify Metatron with Enoch, the man who "walked with God, and he was not, for God took him" (Genesis 5:24), and say Enoch was transformed into a being of fire and light. Today Metatron is known in many spiritual circles as the archangel of sacred geometry, spiritual growth and the Akashic Records, and as a guide for sensitive children.

He is often called on for clarity, focus and a higher view of your life.

Origins of Metatron

• The Talmud (Hagigah 15a) mentions Metatron as an angel permitted to sit in heaven to write down the merits of Israel.
• 3 Enoch, also called Sefer Hekhalot, a mystical text from roughly the fifth or sixth century, tells how Enoch ascended and became Metatron, given seventy names and called "the lesser YHWH."
• The Zohar and later Kabbalah place Metatron in connection with the highest sephirah, Keter, the crown.
• Modern angel teachers describe his color as violet-green or white-gold.

Metatron's Cube

Metatron's Cube is a sacred geometry figure drawn from the Fruit of Life, a pattern of 13 circles. When the centers of all 13 circles are joined with straight lines, a shape appears that contains flat projections of the five Platonic solids, the building blocks of form in ancient Greek thought. Modern sacred geometry teachers named the figure after Metatron, seeing it as a map of creation's structure. It is used today for meditation, protection and as an altar or grid symbol.
