A crystal bracelet or pendant becomes a quiet companion. A few small habits keep the stones bright, the cords strong and the metal shining.
Clean gently
Most polished stones only need a soft cloth. For a deeper clean, wipe with a cloth dampened in lukewarm water and a drop of mild soap, then dry right away. Skip harsh cleaners and ultrasonic machines, which can dull or crack softer stones.
Know your softer stones
Some stones dislike water and sun. Selenite softens in water, and stones such as amethyst and rose quartz can fade with long hours of direct sunlight. When in doubt, keep a stone dry and out of strong sun.
Protect stretch cords
Roll bead bracelets on and off instead of stretching them over your hand. Take them off before swimming, showering or using lotions, which weaken elastic over time.
Store with care
Keep each piece in its own soft pouch or a lined dish so harder stones do not scratch softer ones. Lay chains flat to prevent tangles.
A small refresh ritual
Many people like to refresh their jewelry energetically too. Set a piece on a selenite plate overnight, pass it through the sound of a singing bowl, or simply hold it, breathe slowly and restate your intention.
